Hails from: Taipei, Taiwan and Arlington, Texas
Currently lives in: Taipei
Favorite Place: An empty, Olympic-sized swimming pool
Favorite Things to Do: Uninterrupted swimming, uninterrupted reading, uninterrupted studying of sharks, talking to people about sharks, getting people to sign shark petitions, anything sharks actually!
Favorite Shark: I love love LOVE them all! What's not to like!
What shark are you most like and why?
Eh, I’d say I most resemble an oceanic whitetip, because we’re both solitary and fierce; this is a hard question as I do LOVE them all!
How did sharks draw you into their watery world?
My mom-in-law cooks shark-fin-soups and blue fin tuna steaks and it both breaks my heart and enrages me. That was what drew me to their underwater universe and for as long as I draw breath, I’ll save every shark I possibly can.

Short Bio:
Born in Taiwan and educated/grew up in Texas, I consider myself a citizen of the world. I graduated with a B.A in broadcast communication and a master’s in translation and interpretation and right now I’m working as a language advisor to mayor of Taipei. When I return to Austin, Texas next year to pursue my Ph.D, trust that I will push the shark campaign at the Texas Senate to get a ban going.
I’m also a very lucky girl: by doing what I love (translation and interpretation), I get to save what I love (sharks, of course!!)!
