Turning Fear Into Fascination
Despite diving for decades, I had concluded that my body contained a special toxin that acted as a shark repellent for all but the smallest nurse sharks – having never encountered larger sharks while diving. That was until I joined the Shark Angels on a seven day live-a-board shark diving trip off the shores of the Bahamas.
I recently returned from a shark diving trip with the Shark Angels to Tiger Beach in the Bahamas, it was hands-down one of the best diving experiences I’ve ever had.
Despite a lifetime spent swimming, surfing and fishing in the ocean, I harbored a primal and irrational fear of sharks. This trip changed that to a fascination and respect of these majestic and beautiful sharks.
