For more than a decade, we’ve been leading some of the most compelling and effective ocean and shark conservation initiatives. What’s more, we’ve become a call to action, uniting the amazing efforts of those who share a similar passion around the world.
Shark Angels has:
- Donated more than 7,000 hours of shark education globally – often to those who wouldn’t receive it otherwise.
- Mobilized efforts like Remove the Nets to enable local. communities to protect sharks
- Fueled over 150 hours of positive global media on sharks.
- Made shark fin illegal for more than 160 million people.
- Helped establish the world’s largest shark sanctuaries: Palau, Bahamas, Fiji.
- Promoted shark eco-tourism making hundreds of sharks more valuable alive than dead.
- Gone undercover in 20 countries over 5 years to expose the illegal shark fin trade.
- Developed young eco-heroes around the globe.
These last several years have taught us that a single person can make a difference. We’ve experienced it, witnessed it and even fueled it time and time again. Anyone can become a guardian angel to the sharks – and you certainly don’t have to be divers like us. Lobby for their protection, vote with your dollars, volunteer, educate, swim with sharks to prove their value… whatever you do, just get involved. After all, it’s not just about the sharks – it’s about the oceans and our collective futures.
