Shark Angels has an exciting new kids shark education program for K-12 students across the U.S. and Canada. Each class will receive a shark education presentation tailored to the students’ knowledge level and geographical location. Each student will receive their own kids pack that contains a fun, educational comic book addressing the plight of sharks, a set of shark fact trading cards and a set of pogs with shark slogans. The class will also receive a shark adoption of their choice, allowing them to name their shark and be listed on our wall of shark ambassadors. The adoption kit contains a shark plush, official adoption certificate, full color photo & fact card and sticker. Our goal is to inspire students to become to next generation of ocean scientists, explorers, and activists.
Since 2007, Shark Angels U has presented hundreds of hours of programs to children, students and adults in 8 countries on 3 continents to raise awareness about the plight of sharks and the importance of their conservation. We’ve presented to students in island nations, kids in landlocked states and kids in states that border the ocean. Each student came with a different idea and experience of sharks, and we tailored each fun, educational and interactive presentation to meet their needs. We have inspired them to be a voice for sharks and to take action to help save them. These students have created presentations for their fellow classmates, written to their congressmen regarding shark legislation, created fundraisers to Adopt A Shark, and no longer raise their hand when we ask “who is afraid of sharks?”
This program is measurable and scalable. Donors can choose a classroom or school in their community or allow us to select a classroom from our list of applicants.
